Community Overview

Spencer is a historic, beautiful, and diverse city located near the North Canadian River just northeast of downtown Oklahoma City in eastern Oklahoma County. Spencer gives businesses, residents, and tourist the unique experience of country-style living while offering easy access to main thoroughfares and the bustling excitement of the major metro area.

Established in 1903, this growing bedroom community of 4,000 shares borders with the City of Nicoma Park, to the east, and the City of Midwest City, to the south (home of Tinker AFB and Logistics Center - the world's largest jet engine maintenance facility.) The community offers several excellent subdivisions, acreages, development sites and walking trails.

The community offers quality schools, a cost of living well below the U.S. average, and plenty of nearby retail, parks and recreation amenities, including a new walking trail. The Spencer Historical Museum, housed in a circa 1889 homestead, includes a unique photograph collection and artifacts that were used by settlers after the famous 1889 land run.
